When you compare multiple accounts you might not want to see the growth in absolute numbers, because they might differ enormously (think of comparing an account with 100 an 10000 followers).

Relative growth shows growth for all compared accounts, relative to each other. For example, if the account with 100 followers grows by 50, while the account with 10000 followers does the same, the relative growth of the smaller account is larger than the bigger one (50% vs. 0.5%). The relative growth chart shows this.
