Why do my graphs show inaccurate data in December 2009?

My 3 month graphs for followers, following, and tweets show a spike on December 17-18 (followers jump from 28 to 208)? According to the stats I've been keeping, this never occurred.

The spike occurs because we don't have data for the period before December 19. The graph tries to fill in the missing data, resulting in the spike.
